Introducing Indeed Brewing Company

Beer. It’s perfect, isn’t it? It’s the drink that stands equally well alone as it does when paired with onion rings or even a rack of lamb. It can be as lowbrow or pretentious as you want, but it always seems to be just what you need. One thing we’ve come to notice about beer is that it has some things in common with other classic beverages. For instance, discussions of wine might lead to mention of terroir—the taste of the land. We like to think great craft beer has terroir, too. The difference is, we don’t talk with a ridiculous French accent. Instead, we offer you finely crafted beer in a humble, awesome, aluminum can. You with us?

We want to tout the positive side of things, and embrace mindfulness and adventure—a feeling we’ve found plenty of here in Minnesota.

Indeed Brewing Company is situated in the heart of Northeast Minneapolis—a location replete with rich local history. Known for being the birthplace of Art-a-Whirl and the NE Minneapolis Arts District, it’s inspiring for Indeed to be part of an area that has grown from immigrant stomping grounds to a place that hipsters call home, tipping back a glass of brew in the many pubs found here.

But we find Minneapolis to be particularly fitting as the home of Indeed. After all, this is the town where our adventures begin, this is the town we come home to, and this is the town in which we regularly raise a glass in celebration of making the most of life. We like to think we’ve put that certain Minneapolis terroir (if you’ll pardon our French) right in every barrel of beer we brew.

Why “Indeed?” We just can’t believe we’re the only ones tired of the whiny, doom-and-gloom sentiment around us. We want to tout the positive side of things, and embrace mindfulness and adventure—a feeling we’ve found plenty of here in Minnesota. Even Indeed’s logo has a hint of a smile—a sense of happiness and fun that illustrates precisely what we want to share with our customers. It’s that subtle smile we feel Minnesotans enjoy sharing with one another, especially deep in winter. We’re a hearty breed, we Nordics, and it’s nice to have something to smile about together.

But even if you aren’t prone to shoveling knee-deep snow each winter, then gracefully wiping away a bead of sweat come July’s sweltering temps, we want you to taste our beer and realize what we’ve already come to know: Whether standing, sitting, floating or flying, having a tasty, high-quality craft beer in hand means not only that your taste buds are happy, but that you’re on your way to having a fun and meaningful discussion with other—sometimes about the beer, but more often about everything else in life. The people of Indeed love fun. Come on, let’s have fun together.
