New Beers, New Relationships

Variety is the spice of life, right? Well that’s our attitude, and we don’t plan on letting up as we have a number of exciting beers on the horizon as we enter the second half of our first 12 months in business of our brewery

It’s been almost six months since we opened our brewery and taproom, and since then we’ve released eight beers. The first two were our flagship beers: Day Tripper Pale Ale and Midnight Ryder American Black Ale. We have two seasonal beers: Shenanigans Summer Ale and Stir Crazy Winter Ale. And four specialty beers: Fresh Hop, Sweet Yamma Jamma, Haywire, and Old Friend. We are now preparing to release our ninth beer: Hot Box, an Imperial Smoked Pepper Porter brewed as a collaboration with Northbound Smokehouse Brewpub in South Minneapolis. This beer will be released on Feb. 11 at Northbound and then on Feb. 14 in our taproom (yes, there will be limited 750 mL bottles, limit two),

Not long after we turned on the power in our building for construction, the crew from Dogwood Coffee stopped-by to investigate their new neighbors in Northeast Minneapolis. With mutual love for coffee and beer, an alliance was born and talks of collaboration soon followed. The result is Burr Grinder, a beer that is not so much a coffee beer, but a coffee nerd beer for beer nerds. This beer will be released in early March.

I-P-What?! You didn’t hear it from us but, but yes, we will be brewing a seasonal IPA that will be released in late March. More details about this unique beer to follow in time.

Beyond these beers we are working on brewing our first barrel-aged beer for release at our second annual Hullabaloo in October. There will be a super, funky specialty beer for release around Art-A-Whirl, and we are preparing for a big summer filled with canning—when we debut our third canned beer with return of Shenanigans Summer Ale, our honey wheat ale brewed with Sorachi Ace hops and Glacier County (MT) honey. This beer will be available in 12-packs so you can be the hit of any get-together carrying a bounty of cans!
