Indeed Milwaukee: Slinging Suds Safely

Indeed Brewing Company’s pilot brewery and taproom in the Walker’s Point neighborhood of Milwaukee is staying open this winter and safely serving beers for guests to enjoy in the taproom or at home. We’re confident that our taproom is operating in a capacity that keeps both guests and employees safe, and have implemented and will enforce the precautions necessary to keep the beer flowing in a safety-first environment.

Here’s what to expect when visiting the taproom:

Capacity Cap: We are operating at 50% capacity, which allows just under 80 people inside at one time.

Mandatory Masks: Guests are required to wear masks when not seated at a table. When seated, guests are also required to put on their mask when interacting with beertenders. This applies to all adults and to children over the age of 3. Exemptions are only made for medical conditions or religious reasons. Staff is outfitted with three-ply masks with a MERV-13 filter in the mask pocket.

Tableside Service: There will be no bar seating or ordering at the bar. Rather, a beertender will be taking orders from seated guests.

Sanitation of Stations: Tables are sanitized between each use with a sanitizer that is certified for COVID use by the EPA. A crowler with red and green ends will be used to indicate if it is clean or needs to be cleaned.

Glassware: Beer is served in glassware. We are using Steramine Sanitizing Tablets as our glassware sanitizing product. The active ingredient is quaternary ammonia, a quaternary sanitizer that has been approved by the EPA as a proven disinfectant for COVID-19. Plastic cups are available upon request.

Social Distancing: Tables are at least 6 feet apart and there are floor markers to indicate 6 feet of space.

Good Air Filters: The taproom has HEPA air purifiers. These air purifiers have the same rating as infectious disease wards in hospitals and filter 99.97% of particles at .3 microns. That means it filters 99.97% of all particles that are 233 times smaller than the width of a human hair or 17 times smaller than one of your blood cells. The central air system is outfitted with MERV-13 filters.

Food: Guests are welcome to bring in food to enjoy at their table. We offer Urban Pie Pizzas in the taproom. Additionally, menus for Fixture Pizza Pub and Camino, both within one block, will be available in the taproom (for pickup, not delivery).

Beer: Well, we have plenty of that. The pilot brewhouse isn’t slowing down; our brewers are continuing to experiment and the taproom will be releasing new beers regularly. We'll have fire pits at certain times for Beer Brûlées, too. For guests who prefer not to drink in the taproom, we crowlers and growlers are available to-go with curbside pickup.
