An easy mixer that goes down easy, Paloma Cocktail-Inspired Tart Grapefruit Ale is an ode to this refreshing cocktail. Floral notes linger from the agave syrup and Cascade hops lend notes of zesty grapefruit. Milwaukee Head Brewer Patrick Nickelson, who conceived this recipe, prefers a smoky mezcal to the traditional tequila. “There is a little smoke at the end from some smoked malt in the mash. If you didn't know it was there you might not notice it.”
