Event Manager

Indeed Brewing Company is looking for an Event Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate loves people, beer, and bringing the two experiences together. This position reports to the Hospitality Director, and will work within the Marketing Team to establish shared priorities and goals for Indeed’s events. This includes coordinating, planning, and executing our events and festivals in all markets we sell beer, coordinating with our Taproom Engagement Manager to execute Indeed We Can, regular taproom events, and private event rentals, and coordinating with our Sales and Distribution Teams for any large scale on premise events. Our Event Manager will collaborate and communicate effectively across the company to ensure the company goals and standards are being met and exceeded, in the creation of memorable, high quality experiences for current and future Indeed beer consumers.

Principle Duties & Job Outcomes

  • Plan, staff, and successfully execute both large and small scale events on behalf of Indeed, including beer festivals, tastings, and special on premise events; coordinate and communicate all event logistics clearly and effectively
  • Attend and manage Indeed’s festival presence on-site, as required, up to two weekends per month
  • Lead the key team responsible for Indeed’s two annual marquee events, Hullabaloo and Whirlygig, and manage the budget for these on-site festivals; work to improve current festivals and creating plans for new ones
  • Manage and maintain festival materials and seek new ways to showcase the brewery at events; coordinate with Creative Director on any design needs or special projects, and manage budgets for all materials
  • Work with the Taproom Engagement Manager and Indeed We Can’s non-profit picks to execute weekly Indeed We Can give back Wednesdays; communicate weekly Indeed We Can events and results with all staff
  • Work with the Taproom Engagement Manager and tour staff to schedule, grow, and improve Indeed’s tour program

  • Proficiency with Google Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, etc); familiarity with graphic design a plus
  • Experience in event planning and management, ideally within a brewery, distributor, or alcohol product environment

  • Strong communication skills coupled with a dynamic public presence
