Packaging Assistant -- Minneapolis

Indeed Brewing Company is seeking a reliable, hard-working, and safety-conscious individual to fill the role of Packaging Assistant at our Northeast Minneapolis brewery. The packaging department at Indeed is constantly growing and changing, flexing to meet the needs of the company and adapting to stay near the cutting edge of the industry. This is a fast-paced and complex work environment which requires a high level of patience, critical thinking, and awareness.

A typical day in the life of a packaging assistant involves setup of the packaging line, re-filling packaging materials during operation (trays, lids, PakTechs), keeping an eye for quality of package, monitoring machines and transitions to keep line running smoothly, palletizing and wrapping finished products, and assisting with warehousing and organization.


  • Operating packaging equipment including a case sealer
  • Keg washing and filling
  • Palletizing cases using manual pallet wrap
  • Facility cleaning, organization, and special projects
  • Safely operating a forklift
  • Maintaining brewery sanitation
  • Perform quality checks for carbonation and dissolved oxygen
  • Set up, sanitization, and CIP of product lines
  • Accurate counting of finished product
  • Safe operation of pallet jacks and forklifts to move finished pallets
  • Transferring finished goods between warehouses
  • Tracking finished goods inventory


  • High school/GED or higher
  • Forklift certified, training provided if not certified
  • Clean driving record
  • Capable of driving a large box truck
  • Safety conscious
  • Able to meet physical demands (see below)
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, food or drink packaging, automotive repair, or other trade industries will provide relatable experience


The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for hours at a time, walk, climb, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move more than 30-100 pounds frequently and 150-200 pounds occasionally. Specific abilities in this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

On-Premise Sales Rep -- Twin Cities

We’re looking for a full-time On-Premise Sales Rep to join us in the pursuit of what’s good. This position will report directly to Indeed’s On-Premise Sales Manager.

Job Duties

  • Managing and growing a defined territory of accounts within the Twin Cities
  • Representing Indeed beer and beyond-beer products to on-premise retail accounts
  • Developing and maintaining key relationships with customers and distributors
  • Executing promotional events, sales programs, and product launches/pushes
  • Identifying new business opportunities and retail partnerships
  • Scheduling and executing samplings and festivals/events
  • Accomplishing annual sales goals and maintaining budgets
  • Recording necessary daily activities, store retail information, and recaps in CRM


  • Entry level; experience preferred but not required
  • Eager to learn more about beer sales and customer relations
  • Demonstrated knowledge of local craft beer market, consumers, and retailers

Director of Beer

The Director of Beer is a champion of craft; this role requires expansive knowledge of beer coupled with a keen eye for what’s next. At Indeed Brewing, Beer is one of our three pillars, along with People and Experiences, and the Director of Beer should be deeply invested in all three. As the production leader, this role will have the experience to recognize the strengths of existing methods, the patient persistence to effect change, and the ability to make key decisions and strategy for the advancement of the brewery as a whole. With extensive experience in a production brewery environment, the Director of Beer will bring his or her invaluable knowledge of brewing, packaging, and quality to bear on our fast-growing operation.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with operations leaders (Head Brewers and Packaging Manager) and other colleagues to hire, train, mentor, and manage a knowledgeable, diverse, and dedicated production staff
  • Constantly improve and communicate standard operating procedures in collaboration with the director of Business Services
  • Provide direction, development, evaluation, coaching and leadership to the brewery teams
  • Ensure there is bandwidth for innovation and contribute to a diverse and well-developed line-up of beers and craft beverages
  • Create and communicate a clear vision for the future to inspire and drive the brewery to achieve and surpass business goals and objectives
  • Own the financial operating and capital budgets of both breweries, delivering YOY savings through cost saving initiatives
  • Oversee equipment selection, building, installation, programming, and commissioning
  • Ensure operations comply with Quality, health, and Safety standards

  • Expert knowledge and understanding of brewery equipment, including maintenance and repair
  • Proficiency in all aspects of green, dry-hopped, barrel-aged, and brite beer production
  • Proven ability to communicate and collaborate with other departments and key stakeholders to deliver a high-quality product
  • Interest in and familiarity with a wide range of brewing styles and products; familiarity with other fermentables is a plus
  • Focus on developing and delivering high level strategy to ensure alignment and achievement of all production goals
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills
  • Strong financial acumen and proven project management skills
