Keep Up To Speed
For months the brewery has been jam-packed with excitement and we just can’t leave this juicy news alone anymore, so we won’t! We’re pumped to announce that Indeed fan favorite Strawberry Fields will join our adventurous lineup of canned beer in late January 2018.
As you may have heard (cover your ears if you haven’t), our Harvest Ale is hitting the hay in 2017. We know you’ll miss Yamma Jamma, and we will too - so we’ve decided to give you a little something to remember it by. Our brewers have created a 5 Gallon All-Grain Batch homebrew recipe just for you. Find it below, or on the recipe page of our website, alongside Day Tripper and Midnight Ryder.
Your freshest sesh of the season is just around the corner. We’re delivering our Fresh Hop Ale, just kegged and canned this morning, to stores, bars, and restaurants near you. Fresh Hop is made with fresh Mosaic whole cone hops, picked from the bine (hop vine lingo) at their peak, dried, and shipped directly to Indeed from Yakima, WA. Brewing with fresh Mosaic hops allows for a full, robust expression of the hop, creating a super flavorful ale featuring notes of blueberry and pine. To keep peak freshness and because you want to, we recommend drinking it asap.
Let’s Hullabaloo! Our yam-packed fall fest is back for a sixth year of fun with all the fixins. On October 14th and 15th we’re turning our harvest party up to eleven, and celebrating the only way we know how - with bunches of beer, food, and live music. Flip on your flannel and let’s get this thing started.
So long, farewell, Yamma Jamma! Our Harvest Ale will return this August to reap in one last season before hitting the hay. Conceived as an alternative to the ever growing patch of pumpkin beers, Yamma Jamma is instead brewed with sweet potatoes, a blend of spices, and vanilla. Fit to pair with crunchy leaves, casseroles and sweater weather, Yamma is our tribute to coziest of seasons. For one more year, anyway.
As the sour beer boom continues to grow, we're getting tons of questions about how our sours get, well, sour. We're not gonna lie, there's a lot involved, but we decided to cut right down to the short and sweet (or should we say sour?) of it. Check out the guide below to learn how we make two kinds of tart and tasty beer, then let us know what method is your favorite. Move over Charles Dickens, cause we’ve got a tale of two sours.
Time flies when you’re having fun, working hard, and brewing beer (especially when you’re also drinking some of that beer). It’s hard to believe, but we’re about to clock our fifth spin around the sun. We’re so grateful to be part of the Minnesota craft beer culture, and we couldn’t have done it without the support of our customers, staff, and community. We sold our inaugural beer on August 10, 2012, and were the first brewery and taproom to open in Northeast Minneapolis since James Page Brewing closed in the early 2000s. Cut to flashback music.
Hello, Helio! It’s time to welcome back Wooden Soul: Heliotropic, a Brett Saison Aged in Oak Barrels. The original release from our wild, sour, and barrel-aged Wooden Soul series, Heliotropic returns this summer in handy 375 ml bottles for your on-the-go, beachcombing, park roaming season.
Made for the hazy days of summer, Peach Bum IPA is almost ripe for the picking. With juicy notes of peach cobbler, tart citrus and tropical-tasting hops, Peach Bum joins our adventurous line-up of IPA offerings on draft and in 12 oz. cans with designs by local artist Chuck U. Sun drenched and juicy, it's sure to become your new summer jam.
Ready for another summer of cinema under the stars? The Traveling Patio Picture Show is back, presented by Trash Film Debauchery, Indeed Brewing Company and Trylon Microcinema. Take in four totally rad 80s movies at Up-Down Minneapolis, Grumpy’s NE, Clubhouse Jager and Mackenzie Pub. Because we love you, all movies are free to attend and start at sundown (around 8:30pm). So grab a beer, take a seat, and get ready to enjoy the show!
We can’t promise fine china or finger sandwiches, but Whirlygig 2017 will bring you tea - in a pint glass. Indeed Brewing and Dangerous Man Brewing will release their collaboration beer at the event during Art-A-Whirl® weekend, May 19, 20 and 21. The beer, an Amber Ale with Tea, is the second offering from Indeed’s Flock Together collaboration series.
Indeed Brewing is thrilled to announce that Wooden Soul: Cherry Dust, our Wood-Aged Sour Red Ale made with Tart Cherries, will become available in the taproom on draft and in 750 ml bottles on April 13th.
Pucker up and get ready to meet Lucy, our Session Sour Ale releasing in 12oz cans next week! Lucy is light-bodied, tart, and bubbly with tropical fruit notes that welcome sour drinkers both old and new.
Lucy Session Sour Ale is the latest labor of love from our Head Brewer Josh Bischoff. A tribute to his daughter of the same name, Lucy was a stubborn beer to make — sour, sassy and unpredictable — but then again, nothing worth doing comes easy. We’ve brewed Lucy with lemongrass, orange peel and passion fruit, providing lush tropical fruit notes balanced with a tart, citrusy finish. Weighing in at a sessionable 4.2% ABV, Lucy is the perfect sour to get to know again and again.
Friday May 19th 12-11pm, Saturday May 20th 12-11pm, Sunday May 21st 12-8pm

Meet us here at Indeed from Friday May 19th to Sunday May 21st and help us celebrate our vibrant and lively Northeast neighborhood. Come #GetWhirly with us!
They say that birds of a feather flock together, and now they make beer together too. We've hatched a new series of collaborations with friends from near and far - so take a gander.
“Collaborations help fuel the sense of community that lies at the heart of the craft brewing industry,” explains our Co-Founder and Director of Operations Tom Whisenand. “When we consider a collaboration, we’re all about furthering friendships with people that have similar values, and that we believe represent the best in brewing, whether big or small, well-known or just starting out.” Head Brewer Josh Bischoff agrees, saying the short answer to “Why collaborate?” is for the fun. “We like to work with our friends in the industry,” says Bischoff, “taking the different feel of each brewery and putting a little bit of both in the brew, to create something unique and exciting.”
Mic check – one, two. Is this thing on? We’re introducing B-Side Pils, a fresh spin on an old favorite and our cover of a classic. Born from Lead Brewer Dan Stavig’s love of German beer, B-Side is crafted as a traditional Pilsner you can enjoy without leaving the country – and probably without leaving the bar. Crisp and clean, crushable and complex, B-Side was made to take you off the clock and on to what makes you tick. It’s quickly become our staff’s go to brew, and we think you’ll agree that our Pilsner is a perfect companion for whatever you do that makes you, you.
Happy New Year! We thought we’d ring in 2017 by taking a look back on what we’ve been up to this year, and sharing our plans for the future. We celebrated four years of business last August and we look forward to continuing to help grow Minnesota’s craft beer scene in 2017.
